Puros Dieces Café Britt 10 families, 10 farms in the Frailes Tarrazu region joined with their neighbors to form an association for sustainable coffee. They are not farmers of large plantations, but the production of fine coffee has been their livelihood for generations. Frailes Tarrazu is blessed with almost perfect growing conditions for harvesting SHB coffees at 1,400 to 1,600 meters under shade trees whose leaves aid in fertilization and allow for minimal use of herbicides. This lot represents coffee harvested during the 10 days at the peak of the crop. It was carefully handpicked and sun dried at the Patalillo Mill in Tres Ríos, which has been producing fine coffees for 50 years.
