March HISTORY: Río Nilo del Poás is a result of an incessant
search for improvement of the quality of the coffee grown in the region
based on the hybridization of plants originally from African countries,
Ethiopia and the Sudan where the Blue Nile River is borne and flows
into the great Nile River. With a view of using these “father”
plants to produce an excellent cup, they have been crossed with the
Caturra and Catuaí varieties known for their productive vigor.
The result is an unbeatable cup combining its own region with the best
coffee producing regions of the world.
